Mud Bath Will Melt Your Stress Away

mud bathI had my first mud bath recently and I have to say it was really very nice. I really had different perceptions of what to expect and was feeling a little apprehensive and silly about the whole thing but in the end I have come out of the experience as a believer in mud bath therapy!

If you have not had the luxury of a mud bath you may be wondering like I did what could possibly be so great about sitting in mud! First of all I have learned that it is not just regular mud like you may find your kids tracking onto your freshly cleaned kitchen floors on a rainy day. Different spas will use different recipes for their mud baths some use volcanic ash, peat moss and spring water.

Again I know what you may be thinking and that it just sounds dirty and messy but I can assure you that it is very relaxing. Your body feels warm and weightless with no pressure points on the body. You will feel like you are floating in the warm mixture.

The warmth from the mixture that is kept a few degrees above body temperature caused me to perspire and that is what they told me will help the complexion rid itself of impurities. I am not totally sold on that but it sounds pretty nice so I will go with it!

After the mud bath you will get a nice fresh water spa bath and if you like you can get a massage and at that point you will find that a nap sounds like the only thing you will want to do! Talk about relaxing! A mud bath should definitely be on your list of things to try.
